Michael’s Message

What a year. 2020 blind-sided us with the Pandemic, devastating families who lost loved ones, businesses, or jobs. I contracted COVID last month and it wasn’t a walk in the park. Even when we do all the right things to be safe from the Coronavirus, it can still catch up with us. 

Illness to that degree makes me re-examine my life in ways ordinary self-reflection can’t. My biggest concern was giving the virus to others, especially Brooklyn, who took excellent care of me. Unfortunately, she got the virus, too, and is much better now.

When sick, our priorities and our perspectives can change. I realized my team can completely carry the business when I’m away. That’s exactly what I was hoping would happen as I carefully built our team. I’m replaceable, and that’s great for you! You can feel confident you’ll receive the same stellar service and educated advice from BW, no matter who you’re communicating with.

Reflecting back on the year, my team and I got a lot done for you: we grew the business, hit our goals, and, yet, we must admit 2020 stung. Now, with a new administration moving into Washington and vaccines on their way to the citizenry, we have some glimmers of hope that 2021 will be a better year. We might even be able to do some of those things we did in the good ol’ days, like going to movies, attending live music concerts, and holding weddings surrounded by our loved ones!

There are reasons for optimism. One thing that keeps me going, and prods me to explore innovation, is you. I want BW to be the best advisory firm we can be for you. To that end, and to help serve you as you deserve, we hired Anastasiia Markova as our Client Care Specialist/Client Concierge.
